The U.S. Mission to Moldova is seeking applications for English Teaching Program to build mutual understanding between Moldovans and Americans.
Program Objectives
- To build and promote mutual understanding between Moldovans and Americans through support of English-language instruction
- To strengthen English teaching and learning in Moldova
- To promote American Culture in Moldova

Funding Information
- Length of performance period: 24 months
- Number of awards anticipated: 2-4 awards (dependent on amounts)
- Award amounts: awards may range from a minimum of $20,000 to a maximum of $50,000
- Total available funding: $90,000
Participants and Audiences: The U.S. Embassy welcomes projects that have a balanced gender approach and include minorities and other marginalized groups in their activities, where possible, and keeping in mind the strategic priority themes. Applicant organizations are also encouraged to reach audiences on both banks of the Nistru river.
Eligibility Criteria
- The following organizations are eligible to apply:
- Moldovan non-profit NGOs
- International non-profit NGOs which will partner with a Moldovan NGO or benefit the Moldovan audience
- Moldovan public institutions
- The Public Diplomacy Section reserves the right to request additional background information on applicants that do not have previous experience administering federal grant awards, and these applicants may be subject to limited funding on a pilot basis.
