The U.S. Embassy Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Department of State has announced that funding is available through its AEECA/ESF Public Diplomacy Program.
Public Affairs Section invites proposals for programs that have the effect of strengthening Moldova’s information space. Examples of project ideas under this program include, but are not limited to:
- Building the capacity of Moldovan partners to communicate an accurate message about Moldova’s European trajectory;
- Academic, historic, and cultural research that promotes accurate information about Moldova’s past; and
- Promoting Moldovan use of online platforms that provide a richer variety of information online about Moldova and the world.
Applicants are encouraged to develop partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including the public and/or private sectors as well as local organizations, where applicable.
Funding Information
- Length of performance period: 6 to 24 months
- Award amounts: awards may range from a minimum of $10,000 to a maximum of $50,000
- Total available funding: $200,000
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligibility is limited to not-for-profit organizations (NGOs, CSOs, and Think-Tanks) officially registered in the Republic of Moldova.
- Direct funding for U.S. and third-country institutions is not available under this funding opportunity. Organizations without Moldovan registration can apply only as partners through an eligible organization.
