UK Aid Direct is seeking applications from small UK-registered charities and not-for-profit organisations for its Small Charities Challenge Fund (SCCF) to strengthen the capacity of grassroots development organisations working with the poor, vulnerable and most marginalised to carry out work in priority countries and work towards achieving the Global Goals.
Grant Information
Grants of up to £50,000 are available for projects of up to 2 years will be considered by an independent review panel.
Duration
Small Charities Challenge Fund projects should run for up to 2 years.
Number of Applications
There is no limit to the number of applications that one organisation can submit. However, a maximum number of 2 SSCF grants per organisation, can be granted.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Small Charities Challenge Fund (SCCF) is open to any small, UK-registered charity or not-for-profit organisation, with an annual income of £250,000 or less.
- To be considered as registered in the UK, organisation must be registered as a not-for-profit organisation in the UK.
- Organisation is part of a larger international family, they will expect applicants to demonstrate significant autonomy; organisation must be registered in the UK and have its own UK specific constitution and an independent board of trustees, i.e. the board must be locally appointed and be free and able to make independent decisions on strategic and operational issues. Organisation may be asked to provide relevant documentation as evidence of this status.
