Deadline: 07-Feb-23
The Southwark Council has launched the Culture Together Grants Fund 2023 – 2024 to support Southwark’s arts and culture organisations to build a more sustainable and inclusive culture sector.
Funding Information
- They are keen to support activities that achieve sustainable and meaningful change. The minimum amount of funding you can apply for is £5,000 and the maximum is £25,000. ‘Small Grants’ will fund activities of £5,000 to £10,000, and ‘Big Grants’ will fund activities of £10,001 to £25,000.
What they will fund?
- You can submit one application for either ‘change-making’ or ‘amplifying’ activity’. Both ‘change-making’ and ‘amplifying’ activities have to have a focus on one of the following four areas: audiences, workforce, governance, or artistic content.
- ‘Change-making’ activity should demonstrate how your organisation would achieve better representation in line with the demographics of the Southwark population within one of the focus areas (audiences, workforce, governance, artistic content).
- ‘Amplifying’ activity should celebrate or extend your organisation’s existing inclusivity within one of the focus areas (audiences, workforce, governance, artistic content).
- If your organisation’s activity in a particular focus area is not yet representative of the borough’s population, you should apply for ‘change-making’ activity. If your organisation is already representative of the borough’s demographics in the focus area for which you are applying, you may apply for ‘amplifying’ activity.
Eligibility Criteria
- You are an arts or culture organisation based in Southwark.
- You have a proposal for ‘change-making’ or ‘amplifying’ activity that will help achieve or celebrate equality and/or representation in one of the following four focus areas: audiences, workforce, governance, or artistic content.
- Your activity will take place between 1 June 2023 and 31 March 2024.
- Your activity is ongoing and is not a one-off event.
- Your activity is non-profit making.
- 50% of those involved in or benefiting from your activity will be Southwark residents.
