The EU4Business is now accepting applications for its “Ukrainian Business in Action” grant to support project for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and greentech enterprises, implemented by the Development Program of the European Fund for South-Eastern Europe (EFSE DF) and the Technical Assistance Program of the Green Fund for Growth (GGF TAF) and international consulting company CIVITTA.
The project is aimed at adapting and restoring the activities of Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises and greentech enterprises, which continue to work in the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian war and need help to continue their activities.
Grant support will be provided to at least 20 Ukrainian SMEs and greentech enterprises that meet the qualification requirements and will be competitively selected based on the submitted applications.
What can grants be used for?
- Innovations, technological and other services that contribute to the development of the enterprise
- Resources or equipment needed to adapt production to the new realities of doing business in wartime
- In exceptional cases, grants may cover a part of the operating costs incurred by the enterprise for 6 months, if this is crucial for ensuring the continuous operation of the enterprise
Funding Information
- Participation in the project will allow you to receive grants of up to 50,000 euros for increasing sustainability, restoration and support of operational activities.
Eligibility Criteria
- SMEs: which contribute to preserving and creating new jobs and increasing incomes in Ukraine
- Greentech enterprises: which provide solutions in the sectors of renewable energy, energy efficiency and resource efficiency
Terms of participation in the project
- Legal registration in Ukraine or legal registration in the EU for SMEs that relocated to EU countries after February 24, 2022 (at least one of the owners of the SME must have Ukrainian citizenship)
- Organizational and legal form — legal entities according to the legislation of Ukraine. Individual entrepreneurs are not allowed to participate in the Grant project
- Enterprises from all sectors of the economy, except for the consulting industry
- The minimum period of activity is 2 years
- The maximum annual income is EUR 50 million
- Number of employees for SMEs: 10-250 people (for “green” enterprises: 5-250 people)
- A clear and convincing argument in favor of the fact that receiving a grant can help preserve and create jobs and increase business income in the long term
