Applications are now open for Ukrainian Refugee Integration Fund to help enable Ukrainian families and individuals rebuild their lives and fully integrate into their communities.
Recognizing the value of the voluntary sector, and the vast range of knowledge and support they have to offer to their communities, funding has been made available from the Central Government’s Homes for Ukraine Scheme via Lincolnshire County Council.
Project funding may be awarded to those requests which help reduce isolation, vulnerability and promote cohesion; meaningful activities which have a positive impact on mental health and wellbeing; support around employment and learning, including English language lessons.
Please note there is a separate form to complete if you are applying for under £500.
Priority
Funding will be targeted at organizations that deliver positive outcomes, supporting current and ongoing needs of Ukrainian refugees living in Lincolnshire, ensuring their health and wellbeing is maintained. For example, projects could include, but are not limited to
- Reducing isolation and vulnerability and promoting cohesion;
- maintaining good health and mental well-being;
- Tackling the impacts of financial hardship (access to benefits, employment advice);
- Help to make promote connectivity (eg digital inclusion, peer support groups);
- Skills and cultural awareness opportunities;
- Funding for community groups that are linked into the hubs being created to coordinate support for Ukrainian refugees.
Grant Information
- They aim to distribute around £100,000;
- Grants are for a maximum of £10,000 subject to funding availability;
- There is a shorter application form for grants of less than £500;
- Payments are normally made in advance;
- Closing dates: 31 January 2023 and 31 March 2023 (subject to funding being available) – decisions likely to be notified within 4 weeks of closing date;
- All grants to be spent within a year of receipt.
Project Costs Considered
- Resource to directly support vulnerable and/or isolated Ukrainian refugees, program running costs/overheads; Resources and equipment, digital resources, counseling support, volunteer costs and expenses, travel costs, an appropriate contribution towards fixed costs, materials etc.
Who can apply?
Voluntary and community organizations, including:
- Registered charities, including charitable incorporated organizations; established organizations and non-registered charities;
- Community interest companies and community benefit societies;
- Parish and town councils (if the funded activity is not deemed part of their statutory duties)
- Churches and other religious organizations (if the funded activity is not deemed to be proselytizing).
Who can’t apply?
- Statutory bodies such as district councils or health institutions;
- Political or predominantly religious activities;
- statutory provision;
- animal welfare;
- General contributions to large appeals;
- improvements to land/buildings;
- Building work/purchase of vehicles;
- Grant making bodies applying for funding to redistribute to others.
