The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) is inviting civil society organisations and women organizations to implement of activities on “Preventing violence against women and expanding access to related services” under the Turkey component of the Regional Programme “Ending violence against women in the Western Balkans and Turkey: Implementing Norms, Changing Minds”. The Programme aims at ending gender based discrimination and violence against women, with a particular focus on the most disadvantaged groups of women, in the Western Balkans and Turkey.
Activities
- Activity 1. Communication and outreach initiatives to change gender discriminatory social norms and attitudes towards and among refugee population in Turkey
- Activity 2. Awareness rising among refugee and migrant women on how to access justice services
- Activity 3. Foster civil society organizations dialogue with key local institutions to address gender-based discrimination and violence against women among refugee population.
Funding Information
- Activity 1. Communication and outreach initiatives to changing gender discriminatory social norms and attitudes towards and among refugee population in Turkey: Proposals must fall between a minimum indicative amount of EUR 50.000 and a maximum amount of EUR 60.000.
- Activity 2. Awareness raising among refugee and migrant women on how to access justice services through communication campaigns. Proposals must fall between a minimum indicative amount of EUR 40.000 and a maximum amount of EUR 60.000.
- Activity 3. Foster civil society organizations dialogue with key local institutions to address gender-based discrimination and violence against women among refugee population. Proposals must fall between a minimum indicative amount of EUR 40.000 and a maximum amount of EUR 60.000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Women’s CSOs/women’s CSOs networks and platforms that have specialized knowledge, expertise, and track record of working in women’s human rights and ending violence against women
- Women’s CSOs/women’s networks and platforms with track record in monitoring international human rights treaties and conventions, and more specifically Istanbul Convention
- Civil society organizations working on gender equality and women’s empowerment with track record of working on ending discrimination and violence against women.
