UN Women Nepal is currently inviting legally registered Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) to submit proposals to facilitate the implementation of the Right to Information against Trafficking and Unsafe Migration, especially in the post-earthquake context in Dhading and Sindhupalchowk districts.
This assignment aims to enable environment in homes and communities to address structural barriers, gender based discrimination and stereotypical intergenerational socialization patterns in target districts.

Scope of Assignment
- Formation of a Task Force
- Programme Inception Workshop
- Develop a Guideline for Women to Access RTI
- Orientation to Government Officials on RTI
- Orientation to CSOs on RTI
- Selection of and Capacity Development of RTI Champions
- Orientation to women beneficiaries on the RTI
- Collection of data on RTI applications filed by women
- Public Hearing
Eligibility Criteria
- A proposal can be submitted by a legally registered non-government organization or jointly by two or more registered NGOs.
- Proposal can be submitted by an NGO/ CSO which satisfy the following eligibility criteria:
- The applicant organization must be registered with the relevant authority in Nepal.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in the areas of gender equality and women’s empowerment including women’s economic empowerment (GEWE), right to information, and the media especially on raising awareness and advocating GEWE.
- Experience working in partnership with Government of Nepal at the local level.
- Experience in capacity building of women and excluded groups, especially in the field of RTI will be preferred.
- The applicant must have evidence of sound financial management. As a proof of eligibility, applicant CSO/ NGO should provide separate copies of external audit report by registered auditor of two (2) recent financial years.
- Technical knowledge and expertise on gender equality and women’s human rights related national and international instruments/ normative frameworks i.e. constitution, relevant policy documents, CEDAW, BPfA, women’s economic empowerment, Ending Gender Based Violence (EGBV), Gender Responsive Budgeting (GRB), Social Inclusion.
