UNDP is calling proposals for Accelerator Lab to support a network to accelerate social innovations that emanated during or after the COVID-19 health crisis.
Objectives
- The selected network must provide the initiatives with the following elements:
- The strengthening of their financial capacities within the framework of the prototyping of their initiatives
- The strengthening of technical capacities (training / workshops) to concretize their initiatives and prototypes
- The use of co- design and collective intelligence approaches with advanced and interactive digital tools during online sessions; During the 6 months, online training sessions will be organized for the benefit of these projects
- development of educational materials for acceleration and support
- preparation of communication media on social innovation and its role in Tunisia
- production of a documentary to popularize the concept of collective intelligence and social innovation
- Possible characteristics of targeted projects:
- Social innovation accelerators adopting a co-creation methodology and tools for co-designing social innovation projects
- The accelerators of initiatives social to innovative and original projects
- Possible types of beneficiaries:
- vulnerable populations and / or marginalized (people in situations of disability, abused women, illiterate people)
- Women, including unemployed graduates
- Young people, including young unemployed graduates and those without a job, education or training
Funding Information
- The financial support offered by UNDP under this call for proposals of 48, 042 TND per organization / NGOs funded.
- UNDP support can cover up to 100% of the total cost of the action (i.e. the applicant is not required to contribute financially to the submitted project).
- The balance (if any), i.e. the difference between the total cost of the project and the amount requested from UNDP, must be financed from the applicant’s own resources or from partners, or from sources other than the UNDP budget. The balance (if any) being thus co-financed must not exceed 30% of the total cost of the action.
- The expected duration of a project should be between 6 months.
Geographical Area
- The financial support offered by UNDP within the framework of this call for proposals is intended for associative initiatives that will be implemented in one or more regions of Tunisia (no geographic targeting) Tunisia.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must meet the following conditions in order to be eligible for a grant :
- Be a civil society organization whose head office and activities are based in Tunisia, in one of the governorates targeted by the call for proposals
- Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action and not be limited to an intermediary role ;
- Be independent from political parties / movements.
- May not participate in calls for proposals or be awarded grants them to emandeurs and partners:
- Who are in good standing or who are the subject of bankruptcy, liquidation, judicial settlement or preventive composition, cessation of activity, or who find themselves in a similar situation resulting from a procedure of the same nature existing in national laws and regulations;
- Who, within the framework of a grant granted by the UNDP or other UN organization, have been declared in serious breach of execution due to non-compliance with their contractual obligations.
- Excluded are participating in the call for proposals or cannot qualify for a grant, of emandeurs who at the time of the call and for its evaluation:
- If in a situation of conflict of interest;
- Have made false statements in their application to the call for proposals or have not provided the information required to UNDP.
