The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking proposals for the Livelihood Support to Resettled Communities in Killinochchi and Mullaitivu districts.
The Joint Programme for Peace (JPP) aims to contribute and sustain efforts and initiatives in building sustainable peace in Sri Lanka. This is achieved through harnessing support from multiple partners for strategic, coherent and sustainable support to fast-track the advancement of priority transitional justice and confidence building measures.
The State prioritizes sustainable return, resettlement and/or local integration of conflict-displaced persons (IDPs, IDP returnees, and refugee returnees) in a safe and dignified manner to rebuild lives and communities. To this the end, the JPP focuses on the following:
- The UN in Sri Lanka provides strategic, coherent, timely and targeted support towards the resettlement process in the Northern Province and Eastern Province with an emphasis on ensuring durable solutions and promoting confidence in the process.
- The JPP improves stakeholder coordination on resettlement and the effectiveness of support to the sector Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu districts.
The objective of this Call for Proposals is to: Support sustainable livelihood of resettled communities in Kilinochchi District – Karaichchi, Pachchilaipalli and Poonakary DS divisions and in Mullaitivu district – Maritiempattru and Puthukkudiyiruppu.

- Selected Local Authorities in Kilinochchi (Karaichchi, Pachchilaipalli and Poonakary DS divisions) and Mullaitivu Districts (Maritiempattru and Puthukkudiyiruppu DS divisions): LKR 19,068,000.00
Eligibility Criteria
- The parameters that will determine whether an NGO/CSO is eligible to be considered by UNDP will be based on the NGO/CSOs submission of the information.
