Applications are now open for the Union Quality Schemes or Merits of Union Agricultural Products Programme.
Objectives
- The objective is to increase the awareness and recognition of the Union quality schemes, namely:
- quality schemes: protected designation of origin (PDO), protected geographical indication (PGI), traditional speciality guaranteed (TSG) and optional quality terms;
- the logo for quality agriculture products specific to the outermost regions of the Union.
- One of the expected results is to increase the levels of recognition of the logo associated with the Union quality schemes by the European consumers and increased knowledge of the information the quality schemes aim to provide.
- The expected ultimate impact is to increase awareness of the Union quality scheme and to enhance the competitiveness and consumption of Union agri-food products registered under a Union quality scheme, raise their profile and increase their market share.

Duration
- Projects should have a minimum duration of 12 and a maximum duration of 36 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- In order to be eligible, the applicants must:
- be legal entities (public or private bodies)
- be established in an EU Member States (including overseas countries and territories (OCTs))
- Specific cases
- International organisations — International organisations are not eligible
- Entities without legal personality — Entities which do not have legal personality under their national law may exceptionally participate, provided that their representatives have the capacity to undertake legal obligations on their behalf and offer guarantees for the protection of the EU financial interests equivalent to that offered by legal persons.
- Associations and interest groupings — Entities composed of members may participate as ‘sole beneficiaries’ or ‘beneficiaries without legal personality’
