The Three Millennium Development Goal Fund (3MDG Fund) of United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in Myanmar is seeking proposals from qualified organizations to support the strengthening Conflict Sensitivity activities of the Three Millennium Development Goal Fund (3MDG) in Myanmar.
UNOPS is the Fund Manager for the Three Millennium Development Goal (3MDG) Fund, a multi-donor fund supported by Australia, the European Union, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the USA. The Fund was established in 2012 to support the provision of health services in Myanmar and contributes towards the country’s efforts to achieve the three health-related Millennium Development Goals. These goals include reducing child mortality, improving maternal health and combating HIV, tuberculosis and malaria, and health systems strengthening.
Key Areas
Building on stakeholder consultations conducted by the FMO in early 2017, the Fund will focus on the following three key areas for the expansion of Conflict Sensitivity activities:
- Furthering Conflict Sensitivity capacity across the Fund
- Providing best tailored assistance to 3MDG partners
- Facilitation of dialogue
Funding Information
Estimated investment is up to USD 280,000 to cover both the first phase (October- November 2017) and the second phase (November 2017- November 2018).
Eligibility Criteria
- An organization authorized to operate in Myanmar.
- Minimum requirements/qualifications:
- Experience working with the Government of Myanmar, international/local NGOs, EHOs and civil society based organizations (CBOs) in a supportive and capacity building role;
- Evidence of required technical, financial and managerial capacity to implement a programme in a challenging environment, such as remote or conflict affected areas;
- Capacity to manage financial resources in line with UNOPS rules and regulations;
- Experience in the areas related to primary health care services with focus on MNCH (Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health) and/or communicable disease control is an asset;
- Proven ability to implement high quality services according to an agreed workplan and budget;
- Staff with sufficient technical capacity or evidence that sufficiently capable staff will be hired to implement the programme.
- Incomplete submissions shall be excluded from the evaluation.
- There is no entitlement of remuneration or compensation for the preparation of this proposal or future negotiations of a grant support agreement, nor can it be included as a direct cost in the budget.
