The Cheshire Community Foundation is currently accepting proposals for the Assura Community Fund to support the health and wellbeing of disadvantaged people living in West Yorkshire.
The grants programme supports small scale, voluntary and community organisations with charitable aims, delivering services or activities within West Yorkshire – with priority given to those with an income of less than £500,000. This includes non-profit social enterprises and community interest companies (CICs).
This may include:
- Community social prescribing activities
- social action/volunteering
- Befriending
- supporting disadvntaged and vulnerable people

Funding Information
- Grants of between £100 and £2,000 are available over one year.
Eligibility Criteria
- Small scale, voluntary and community organisations with charitable aims, delivering services or activities within West Yorkshire are eligible – with priority given to those with an income of less than £500,000. This includes non-profit social enterprises and community interest companies (CICs).
- Groups must have their own governing document (constitution), bank account, management committee, annual accounts (a simple annual income and expenditure account would suffice) and a safeguarding policy.
- Groups must have two unrelated cheque/payment signatories.
- The grants are intended to be used for project services and activity costs which can typically include equipment, sessional costs, volunteer expenses, room hire, transport costs.
- You must have a minimum of three management committe members to apply.
- They require CICs to have at least three unrelated Directors, with a quorate of at least three Directors at Board meetings, to enable robust financial procedures, for the use of restricted grant funds.
- Regional or national scale organisations are not within the funding policy for this programme.
