UPJA 2020 is a distinctive program offered by Pusa Krishi, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi under the RKVY-RAFTAAR scheme of Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
The Program offers acceleration and market access to start-ups in Agri-Tech and allied sectors having a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) based on innovative solutions/ process / products/ services/ business models in agriculture and allied sectors.
The mentoring support offered under this program is a prominent segment where the start-ups is given an opportunity to have close interactions with the technical & industry experts; along with investor reach out for further fund raise.
The program is to promote innovation and entrepreneurship from farm to fork model within the field of agriculture and allied sector.
Phases
The Program is conducted in two phases:
- Phase 1: 2 months Online Program
- Phase 2: Commercial Launch & Funding Support
UPJA 2020 Program invites applications from Start-ups which are focused on solving problems for the agriculture sector and farmer’s community in the following areas:
- E-Markets and Digital Supply / Value Chain Initiatives.
- Agricultural Farm Mechanization
- Agri Fintech Solutions
- Post-Harvest Solutions for reduction in Food Losses
- Solutions for sustainable use of Soil, Water & Natural Resources
- Innovations solutions in allied activities including Animal Husbandry / Fisheries / Sericulture / Forestry / Environment
- Precision Agriculture with IoT / Blockchain / AI/ ML Technologies
