The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Office of Food for Peace (FFP) is seeking applications for its funding program entitled “Development Food Security Activities in Niger and Burkina Faso.
Through FFP, USAID supports multi-year development (i.e., non-emergency) food security activities to improve and sustain the food and nutrition security of vulnerable populations. These activities work at the individual, household, and systems level to address the underlying causes of chronic food insecurity and strengthen transformative opportunities. USAID also provides emergency food assistance to address needs arising from natural disasters and complex emergencies often characterized by insecurity and population displacement.

Eligibility Criteria
- To be considered for a Title II funded award, the applicant must be a Private Voluntary Organization (PVO) or consortium, or an organization designated by USAID as a Public International Organization (PIO).
- PVOs may include U.S. and non-U.S. nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) as defined in the Food for Peace Act. Per the Food for Peace Act, universities are not eligible to apply as primes for any Title II funded activity. Universities can be sub-awardees or members of a consortium at the discretion of the prime applicant.
- To be considered for a CDF funded award, the applicant must be a U.S. or non-U.S. NGO, or an organization designated by USAID as a PIO.
