The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking applications for its “Strengthening Physical Rehabilitation in Georgia (SPRING) Activity in Georgia” to support the development of accessible, affordable, and appropriate physical rehabilitation and assistive devices and technology (AT) services and systems in Georgia, with a particular emphasis on attending to civilian victims of conflict.
This activity will strengthen physical rehabilitation services and systems in Georgia by: strengthening the capacity of existing and emerging physical rehabilitation professionals; expanding access to quality, affordable physical rehabilitation services; and expanding access to and availability of appropriate assistive technology.
Objectives
- Strengthen Capacity of Existing and Emerging Physical Rehabilitation Professionals;
- Expand Access to Quality, Affordable Physical Rehabilitation Services; and
- Expand Access to and Availability of Appropriate Assistive Technology and Related Services.
Funding Information
USAID intends to provide a total of $4,500,000 USAID funding over a 4 year period.
Eligibility Criteria
- U.S. and non-US organizations may participate.
- USAID welcomes applications from organizations which have not previously received financial assistance from USAID.
- Applications for renewal or supplementation of existing projects are eligible to compete with applications for new Federal awards.
- Applicants must have established financial management, monitoring and evaluation processes, internal control systems, and policies and procedures that comply with established U.S. Government standards, laws, and regulations.
