The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking applications from qualifies U.S. and Non-U.S. organisations for a cooperative agreement to fund a program entitled “Tunisia Resilience and Community Empowerment (TRACE)”.
The program seeks to promote social cohesion, reduce communities’ risk of instability and increase resilience to violent extremism. Through a rigorous community-based development approach, the program will strengthen the voices of underrepresented groups (including women and youth in rural and peri-urban areas) and actively engage community members as participants and leaders in the full cycle of design, management, and evaluation of development activities.
Objectives
- Objective 1: Community resilience is strengthened.
- Objective 2: Community vulnerabilities are mitigated.
- Objective 3: Build capacity of Tunisian partners to sustain and replicate the model.
Funding Information
- USAID intends to provide up to $49,600,000 in total USAID funding over a five-year year period.
- The ceiling for this program is $49,600,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- U.S. and non-US organizations may participate under this NFO. For the purposes of this NFO, NGOs include any incorporated entity, either non-profit or for-profit, other than a governmental organization.
- To be eligible for award of a cooperative agreement, in addition to other conditions of this NFO, organizations must be politically neutral, and have a commitment to non-discrimination with respect to beneficiaries and adherence to equal opportunity employment practices. Non-discrimination includes equal treatment without regard to race, religion, ethnicity, gender, and political affiliation.
- USAID welcomes applications from organizations which have not previously received financial assistance from USAID.
