The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking applications for a cooperative agreement from qualified U.S. and Non-U.S. organizations to fund a program entitled “Amplify Family Planning and Reproductive Health (Amplify-FP)”.
Objectives
- Strengthen and institutionalize a system for adaptation and replication of key family planning high impact practices (Replication)
- Engage and leverage domestic, donor and West African communities and resources and to build sustainability and scale of selected HIPs. (Scale & Sustainability)
- Institutionalize a sustainable and self-regulating system of service quality assurance and monitoring (Quality Assurance).
- Collaborate and coordinate with other USAID FP/RH partners working on commodity security, demand creation, policy, learning and related health systems (Collaboration & Coordination).
Funding Information
- Subject to funding availability, USAID/WA intends to provide between $15,000,000 – $18,500,000 in total USAID funding over a five-year period.
- Actual funding amounts are subject to availability of funds.
Geographic Focus
Amplify-FP will focus its efforts in four OP countries: Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Niger and Togo.
Eligibility Criteria
- U.S. and non-U.S. Non-governmental organizations (NGOs), private voluntary organizations (PVOs), for-profit companies willing to forego profit, colleges and universities, and Public International Organizations (PIOs) are eligible to submit applications. Faith-based and community organizations that fit the criteria above are also eligible to apply.
- Applicant(s) must have established financial management, monitoring and evaluation, internal control systems, and policies and procedures that comply with established U.S. Government standards, laws, and regulations. The successful applicant(s) will be subject to a responsibility determination (may include a Pre-award Survey) issued by a warranted Agreements Officer (AO) in USAID.
- The Recipient must be a responsible entity. The AO may determine a pre-award survey is required to conduct an examination that will determine whether the prospective recipient has the necessary organization, experience, accounting and operational controls, and technical skills – or ability to obtain them – in order to achieve the objectives of the program and comply with the terms and conditions of the award. - USAID welcomes applications from organizations which have not previously received financial assistance from USAID.
