Women’s Fund in Georgia is seeking proposals for its program entitled “Overcoming Empty Forms of Violence against Women in the Regions of Georgia” whose financial support is supported by the British Foundation, Sigrid Rozing Trastu.
The grant competition is designed to working in the regions of women’s non-governmental organizations in an effort to encourage, promote gender -based violence covered forms of legal and preventive issues before raising, advocacy and lobbying. The foundation is supported by the initiatives, which are based on the principle of women against violence covered forms Discloser and their struggle, the issue of political ideology and patriarchal attitudes change.
Women’s Fund welcomes social-oriented initiatives such as:
- Detect, document and respond to the hidden and taboo facts of violence against women and girls;
- Work with media, self-government bodies, religious institutions, etc.
- Monitoring, advocacy, and lobbying for women nonviolent
- To create environment;
- Improve gender equality policy and action plan;
- Legislative Initiatives;
- Academic research on the hidden forms of gender based violence;
- Public awareness campaigns against all forms of violence against women and girls;
- Women , violence against women working in the capacity of the organizations.
Grant Information
The grant amount is defined as 4500 pounds sterling.
Duration
The duration of the projects is from 6 to 8 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- In the grant competition “Participation of Covert Forms of Violence against Women in the Regions of Georgia” can participate:
- Women’s local registered NGOs in the regions of Georgia;
- Organizations in the regions working on women issues and who are guided by women;
- Women’s organizations in the regions whose budget is less than the budget of women’s fund
- Women’s Fund will support projects within the competition:
- Women carrying out
- whose direct and final beneficiaries are women
- Women’s Fund will give priority to coalition initiatives of the organizations operating in the region.
