The Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) is currently seeking applications for its small grants competition for young leaders in Southeast Asia on Seeds for the Future program.
The competition provides funding for the region’s most promising young leaders to carry out projects that improve their communities, countries and the region. A minimum of 15 projects will be funded.
Thematic Areas
The program focus lies on the following thematic areas:
- civic engagement,
- economic development,
- education, and
- environmental protection
Funding Information
- Additionally, one outstanding proposal that supports entrepreneurship across multiple Southeast Asian countries will receive a grant sponsored by the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council.
- Determinations and grant distribution will occur in January 2017, thus, project should plan to be ten months starting in late January 2017. Projects must be completed by October 2017.
Eligibility Criteria
- To submit a proposal applicant must be a registered YSEALI member, a citizen of one of the ten ASEAN member countries, be between the ages of 18 and 35.
- S. Citizens are not eligible to apply.
