Deadline: 17 November 2025
The World Food Programme (WFP) has announced a call for proposals to enhance agricultural and agri-food systems in Burkina Faso through partnerships that strengthen the resilience and capacity of local producer organizations.
The focus of this initiative aligns with the government’s national vision on promoting local expertise in agricultural and agri-food equipment. Through this program, WFP reinforces its commitment to national priorities, the guidelines defined by the National Strategic Framework, various sectoral programs and projects, the strengthening of national systems, acceleration initiatives, and the agro-pastoral offensive for food sovereignty.
This call for proposals seeks a cooperating partner (NGO or Development Association) with expertise in agricultural and agri-food production technology development to strengthen the technical, organizational, and material capacities of producer organizations for sustainable agriculture and quality agri-food processing. Interventions will target the Guiriko, Bankui, Liptako, Soum Gulmu, Koulsse, Oubri, Yadga, and Nakambe regions. The selected partner will work closely with small-scale producers to enhance their organizational strength and improve capacity-building initiatives.
Potential non-profit cooperating partners must be duly registered in Burkina Faso and operational in the intervention areas. The initiative aims to promote food security, improve livelihoods, and support the development of inclusive and sustainable agricultural systems that contribute to the country’s food sovereignty and resilience.
