The United States Embassy in India offers several new funding opportunities for NGOs from time to time. These opportunities aim to build up the capacity of the civil society organizations promoting democracy and good governance and also ensuring stronger socio-economic and cultural ties between the people of India and the United States. These opportunities are spread across education, disaster management, empowerment of the LGBTQ community, gender equality, media development, human rights, urban management, and religious tolerance.
As of date (December 2018), the US Embassy has 10 open opportunities for NGOs and individuals in India to apply and receive financial and/or non-financial support. These opportunities are listed below:
