Strengthening Human Rights and Peace Research/Education in ASEAN/ Southeast Asia (SHAPE-SEA) is seeking concept notes for its Research Grants Programme (RGP) 2018 with an aim to develop the capacity of universities in ASEAN and the Southeast Asian region to contribute to the improvement of human rights and peace situation in Southeast Asia through applied research and education.

Grant Information
- Research Grants: All research grants will be received in Thai Baht.
- Small grants: 12 months (max); not exceeding 170,000 Thai Baht
- Medium grants: 12 months (max); not exceeding 680,000 Thai Baht
- Student Thesis Grants
- MA: 12 months max. not exceeding 102,000 Thai Baht
- PhD: 12 months max., not exceeding 238,000 Thai Baht
Eligibility Criteria
- Individual applicant criteria
- Student Grants: Student enrolled at post-graduate degree level (MA or PhD) at a Southeast Asian university, or
- Small and Medium Grants: Academic working in a Southeast Asian university, or member of a research centre/ institute based in a Southeast Asian university
- Medium (Collaborative) grant applicants
- At least two members of the medium (collaborative) research team should fit the criteria above. Research team members should come from at least two countries in Southeast Asia.
- Teams are highly encouraged to work with researchers from developing university systems, e,g, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar,Thailand, and Timor Leste, and Vietnam.
