USAID through the project PRO-Budućnost and the Institute for Youth Development KULT (hereinafter: the Institute) have announced the Public Invitation for granting financial support to projects of associations of victims of war.
USAID’s PRO-Future Project is implemented by Catholic Relief Services (CRS) in cooperation with Caritas BiH, the Institute for Youth Development KULT, the Inter-religious Council of BiH (MRV), the Tuzla Citizens Forum (FGT), the Helsinki Parliament of Banjaluka (hCA) and Nansen Dialogue center of Mostar (NDC).
Project proposals must relate to building peace and strengthening of trust in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Funding Information
- The total financial value allocated to support youth projects is 24,450 BAM.
- Projects should last at least 3 months, and maximum 8 months and must be implemented in February – December 2019.
Eligibility Criteria
- Organizations of victims of war in BiH who have been established according to the valid ones can apply to the Public Invitation laws on associations and foundations, and whose headquarters are in the area of one of the Local Communities in which are implementing the project PRO-Future.
- Priority in the allocation of funds will have the project proposals of organizations that are primarily focused on strengthening their own capacities for the purpose of more effective advocacy processes and the engagement of political leaders from their communities, as well as representatives of organizations of victims of war from other communities.
- Advocates activities should be aimed at promoting the adoption of the Peace Platform at all levels authorities.
- Applicants should propose projects that contribute to the improvement of the process reconciliation and confidence in BiH, advocate peace and a collective vision for a stable future and link local communities, and are in accordance with The Platform for Peace.
Proposed projects must:
- include activities that exclusively positively promote and encourage reconciliation, such as: dialogue, joint workshops on reconciliation or joint promotion activities reconciliation;
- involve different ethnic / national groups in the implementation of activities;
- realize its activities in the area of Local Communities;
- be of benefit to the wider community;
- mobilize community members through volunteer work;
- take into account the proper and responsible use of natural, cultural, historical or any other other tangible and intangible resources.
