The webinar video on “How to Raise Funds in Humanitarian Situations” is now available online for FundsforNGOs Premium Members.
In the context of an increasing number of emergency situations, many funding mechanisms are available around the world. But due to the system’s complexity and the chaos persuading the emergency situations, the accessibility to these funds becomes difficult.
The difficulty may still pursue in knowing what is available and from whom, which may particularly be inaccessible for smaller or national NGOs. However, this shouldn’t defer them from trying as they may be better placed to respond quickly to the communities’ needs.
This video will help to explain the complexities of the humanitarian funding system and empower NGOs to identify potential sources.
Topics Covered
- The humanitarian funding landscape: geographic priorities, issues addressed actors and instruments involved.
- How to participate: How funding is distributed, channels, for accessing funds and the application process.
- How to prepare prior to a crisis.
