The Asia Foundation, in partnership with Teamup and the National Incubation Center, presenting “Barhta Pakistan – Ecopreneurship Challenge” to promote business ideas that can help crack Pakistan’s sustainable development challenges.
Applicants can become a part of Barhta Pakistan Ecopreneurship Challenge if applicants are working on or have a business idea that can help solve problems related to one or more of the following Sustainable Development Goals:
- SDG 6: Ensuring access to clean water and sanitation for all
- SDG 7: Affordable and clean energy for all
- SDG 11: Sustainable cities and communities
- SDG 12: Responsible production and consumption
- SDG 13: Taking urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts
- SDG 14: Conservation and sustainable use of the oceans, seas and marine resources
- SDG 15: Sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, halt and reverse land degradation, halt biodiversity loss
Benefits
If applicants have a business idea that can help solve environment-related issues in Pakistan, applicants have a chance to win a seed funding of up to Rs. 250,000/- and a shot at presenting their idea before judges to be possibly incubated in cohort 7 of National Incubation Center.
Event Date
The final competition would be held on October 8, 2019 in Islamabad.
Eligibility Criteria
Diversity and inclusion is central to everything they do, so they encourage people from rural areas and smaller cities, especially women, transgenders and youth to apply and be a part of this initiative.
