The Inner West Council has launched the application for the Multicultural Grants Program to provide funding for projects that contributes to wellbeing and resilience for multicultural communities.
Projects that encourage and support new and established migrant communities to stay connected and support one another in the face of challenges are particularly encouraged.
Objectives
- Strengthen wellbeing and resilience of multicultural communities
- Encourage community collaborations and partnerships
- Build on community strengths and capabilities
- Encourage participation and community connection between groups.

- Multicultural grants of up to $5,000 each
Eligibility Criteria
- Local organisations
- Inner West Council provides grants for projects that have not yet commenced, and in limited cases people who have not yet acquitted a previous grant may be eligible to apply again. In addition:
- Council does fund Parents and Citizen organisations but does not fund projects for schools.
- Council only provides support for capital projects in the Environment grant stream, and Council does not provide support for interstate or overseas travel.
- Council does not fund political parties or their activities
Assessment Criteria
- Ability to strengthen wellbeing and resilience for multicultural communities
- Ability to strengthen community collaboration, connection and partnerships
- Capacity to plan and deliver a well-planned project
- Realistic budget, including all sources of project income and quotes where relevant.
