Irwin Mitchell is seeking applications for its Disability Sports Grants Programme that is a grants initiative offering funding to support and nurture disabled people and teams playing and supporting inclusive sport.
There are 12 million people with disabilities in the UK but only one in six takes part in sport regularly, which is something we want to change as part of our Don’t Quit, Do It campaign.
This grant is open to both individuals and organisations involved in disability sports. It can be used for anything that supports inclusion and participation in these sports, including:
- Sports equipment
- Team kit
- Competition entry
Funding Information
- An application can be made up to a maximum of £500.
- No more than one application can be made during the term of the grants programme (see Terms and Conditions).
Eligibility Criteria
- A person who plays disability sport or a team that supports the inclusion and participation of disability sports are eligible to apply for this grants programme.
- As part of the application, you will need to identify the intended purpose of the grant i.e. sports equipment, team kit or to support entry into a competition.
- The individual or group needs to have been active in disability sports for at least six months on the date of the application. The individual or group needs to operate on a non-for-profit basis for the benefit of the community.
- The Promoter of the funding programme is Irwin Mitchell Solicitors. The funding programme is open to individuals resident in the UK and Eire only. Employees and their families of Irwin Mitchell Solicitors, their associated companies, advertising and promotional agencies are not eligible.
- The funding programme relates to the provision of grants for either a disabled individual or team to participate in sports.
