Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is currently inviting applications for its grant program entitled “Modeling of Climate Change Mitigation, Impacts and Adaptation” with an aim to advance the field of climate economic modeling to assist decision makers and the public in effectively responding to the challenges and opportunities posed by climate change.
EPA is interested in proposals to improve the capabilities of existing CGE models.
Applicant’s proposals must demonstrate understanding and expertise in the field of computable general equilibrium modeling and in linking climate impact models, sector mitigation models, and electricity sector dispatch models with CGE models.

The total estimated funding expected to be available for awards under this competitive opportunity is approximately $1,250,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Proposals will be accepted from states, local governments, territories, Indian Tribes, and possessions of the U.S., including the District of Columbia, international organizations, public and private universities and colleges, hospitals, laboratories, other public or private non-profit institutions.
- Non-profit organization, as defined by 2 CFR Part 200, means any corporation, trust, association, cooperative or other organization that: (1) is operated primarily for scientific, educational, service, charitable or similar purposes in the public interest; (2) is not organized primarily for profit; and (3) uses its net proceeds to maintain, improve and/or expand its operations.
- For-profit organizations are not an eligible entity for this funding opportunity.
- Additionally, non-profit organizations described in Section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code that engage in lobbying activities as defined in Section 3 of the Lobbying Disclosure Act of 1995 are not eligible to apply.
