The Centers for Disease Control (CGH) seeks proposals for the programme titled- Strengthening of Ghana National Health Management Systems in the Areas of Strategic Information Systems and Laboratory Capacity Building under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).
The aim of the programme is to strengthen Ghana National Health Services (GHS) to provide quality diagnostic services and ensure development and implementation of appropriate polices to support diagnostic operations at all levels throughout the healthcare system. This will include ensuring accurate and quality testing for HIV rapid testing, Early Infant Diagnosis and Viral Load, proficiency testing, logistics management and specimen referral/results submission systems.
Priority Areas
GHS will focus on strategic information activities to:
- Strengthen DHIMS 2 to generate data needed for tracking HIV Clients within the continuum of care and HIV prevention and treatment cascade,
- Implement HIV drug resistance (HIVDR) surveillance and
- Assure Data quality of variables reported under the National Strategic Plan and PEPFAR plan.
Funds Available
The fund available for this programme is $1,500,000.
