The Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs (OES), Office of Environmental Quality and Transboundary Issues (EQT) at the Department of State, has announced the Notice of Funding Opportunity (“NOFO”) for Logistics, Meetings Coordination, and Digital Communications Support for Environmental Cooperation.
Program Goals
- The goal of this program is to facilitate communication and information exchanges in English and Spanish related to environmental cooperation of the FTAs through meetings (in-person and virtual engagements), web-based communications, and digital media.
- This goal will be accomplished by the Recipient working closely with OES/EQT:
- To coordinate logistics including travel, lodging, translation and other requirements for the Environmental Affairs Council (EAC), Environmental Cooperation Commission (ECC), and related meetings and;
- Coordinating for the management of Dominican Republic–Central America Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA-DR) Environment Cooperation Program website and lending social media communication support, as needed.
Expected Results
- Specific results will depend on the strategy identified by the applicant, but could include the following:
- Logistics, Meeting Coordination, and Digital Communications
- Effective and efficient logistics coordination including lodging, transportation, translation/interpretation, audio visual and other equipment, among other meeting requirements; and Positive feedback from government and non-governmental organization representatives participating in EAC, ECC, and other meetings.
- Logistics, Meeting Coordination, and Digital Communications
This also includes coordination support for the management of the CAFTA-DR Environment Cooperation Program website and lending social media communication support, as needed.
Funding Information
OES has funding available for one cooperative agreement for a total of up to $197,500 USD.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility is limited to U.S. non-profit/nongovernmental organizations subject to section 501 (c) (3) of the U. S. tax code, foreign not-for-profit/nongovernmental organizations, educational institutions, and to public international organizations.
