Western Balkans Enabling Project for Civil Society Monitoring of Public Administration Reform (WeBER) is seeking proposals for the implementation of the Small Grant Facility for Support for Civil Society Monitoring of Public Administration Reform at Local Level with an aim to provide support for local CSOs, media and grassroots that are active in monitoring and evaluation of the public administration reform.
The overall goal of WeBER is to increase the relevance, participation and capacity of civil society organizations (CSOs) and media in the Western Balkans (WB) to advocate for and influence the design and implementation of public administration reform (PAR).
Objectives
- to enable local watchdog CSOs, grassroots and media to participate in PAR monitoring and advocate on PAR.
- to establish and support local civil society PAR working groups.
Grant Information
- A total sum of 255.000 EUR is allocated for the Grant Facility, to support 30 grants between 5000 and 10000 EUR (8500 EUR on average).
- Duration of the awarded grants is between minimum 6 months up to maximum 12 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- In order to be eligible for a grant, the applicant shall be:
- legal person
- non-profit making
- civil society organizations working on one or more thematic areas of relevance to this CfA
- registered in one of the project countries (Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo);
- established in one of the project countries (Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo);
- founded at least one year before the announcement of this call;
- be directly responsible for preparation and management of the application, not acting as an intermediary;
- Have appropriate organizational and financial capacity.
- Applicants from respective countries might apply for grants which will be implemented only in their country of origin (ex. applicants from Albania might apply for grants which will be implemented in Albania only, applicants from Bosnia and Herzegovina might apply for grants which will be implemented in Bosnia and Herzegovina only and so on. Applicants from Albania cannot apply for grants which will be implemented in other country).
