The Gupta Family Foundation is seeking applications for its Grant Program.
The Foundation’s mission is to support organizations that provide focused intervention in the lives of people who have been disadvantaged in some way to help them become self-reliant.
The goal of Gupta Family Foundation is to support intervention programs that assist and inspire people to achieve self-sufficiency. Grants are made to non-government organizations (NGOs) around the world that provide social assistance to people challenged by poverty, disability, or discrimination. The foundation also supports relief agencies that serve people affected by emergencies and natural disasters.
The Gupta Family Foundation is dedicated to uplifting and empowering individuals disadvantaged by poverty or disability, or by discrimination based on race, class or religion; providing social services to the elderly, disabled, children and those who are disadvantaged; and providing relief for emergencies (such as genocide) and natural disasters.
Funding Information
- Currently they are funding organizations with revenues in the range of $250,000 to $10,000,000.
- The foundation evaluates and awards annual and multi-year grants ranging from $5,000 to over $250,000 (USD).
Eligible Countries
Currently they are funding organizations with operations in the following countries: India, USA, Botswana, Kenya, Mexico, Mongolia, South Africa, Thailand.
Selection Criteria
The selection criteria include:
- Mission alignment
- The organization is run by the founder or, if not, by a successor who embodies the original inspiration, passion and commitment of the founder.
- At least 90% of grant monies reaches the intended beneficiaries.
- The organization is non-sectarian, i.e.,
- It does not, directly or indirectly, support or condone the proselytization of any religion,
- It is not supported by or affiliated to a religious organization.
