Brother’s Brother Foundation is a gift-in-kind charity that focuses on medical and educational needs around the world. It provides medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, textbooks, food, seeds, and other humanitarian supplies to people around the world in 149 countries since 1958.
In 2015, with the help of gifts from the general public and corporations, BBF sent product contributions to those in need in 63 countries and furnished supplies for more than 350 medical and humanitarian hand-carry mission trips.
The mission of Brother’s Brother Foundation is to promote international health and education through the efficient and effective distribution and provision of donated medical, educational, agricultural and other resources.
Together with partners in the United States and other more affluent countries, BBF has provided over $4,000,000,000 in goods and services, that includes 102,000 tons of medical supplies, text books, seeds and food that have touched many tens of millions with better health, education, nutrition, material security and hope
Programs
- BBF’s Education Program: The program’s mission is to effectively distribute these books and educational materials to communities, schools, and students who truly need them.
40-40′ containers equivalents of textbooks and educational materials were sent within the US and around the world in 2015 - BBF’s Medical Program: The program provides people with access to basic medicine and supplies, BBF gathers surplus products from pharmaceutical companies, hospitals and medical organizations and sends these items directly to the places where they are needed.
159-40′ container equivalents of medicines, medical supplies and equipment were shipped around the world in 2015. - BBF’s Mission Trip Program: Program supports church mission groups, medical student teams and various non-profit organizations travelling abroad by providing them with pharmaceuticals and simple supplies for their medical mission trips.
350 mission trips were provided with vital medicines, supplies and equipment in 2014. These missions served 49 countries worldwide.
