The 2020 LIFE Integrated Projects is limited to specific areas of intervention related to certain strategic plans in nature, air, water, waste, climate change adaptation and mitigation as follows:
- Nature IPs implement the PAFs;
- Water IPs implement the River Basin Management Plans;
- Waste IPs implement Waste Management Plans or Waste Prevention Programs;
- Air IPs implement Air Quality Plans;
- IPs implementing climate change adaptation strategies or plans;
- IPs implementing climate change mitigation strategies, action plans or low carbon economy roadmaps;
- IPs implementing urban mitigation and/or adaptation action plans.
Beneficiaries
- Public or private bodies.
- The competent authority in charge of the implementation of the relevant plan or strategy is in general expected to submit and lead the Integrated Project.
Funding Information
- Co-financing rate(%): Up to 60%
- Amounts (EUR) of LIFE contribution: Expected average of EUR 10 million
Geographic Scope
- Shall be implemented on a regional, multi-regional, national or trans-national scale.
- For IPs in the air sector, a scale of minimum 5 cities is required.
- For IPs in the climate sector, local plans can be considered under certain circumstances.
Eligibility Criteria
Any entity registered in the EU can make a proposal for LIFE traditional, integrated, preparatory, and technical assistance projects under the sub-programmes for environment.
You could be a:
- public body operating under a national government’s authority, e.g. local authority, national administration etc.
- private commercial organisation
- private non-commercial organisation (NGOs etc.)
