Deadline: 12-Mar-23
The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands invites Slovak non-governmental organizations and media to submit their proposals for projects aimed at the improvement of the rule of law and strengthening of the judicial institutions.
Funding Information
- The financial support of projects is decided on a case-by-case basis, depending on the scope of the initiative and availability of financial means, ranging from 2 000 EUR up to 15 000 EUR per project.
Project Criteria
- The project aims at the improvement of the rule of law and strengthening of the judicial institutions, e.g. through initiatives that help prevent corruption and build strong institutions, improve access to justice and strengthen the judiciary or safeguard independence of media and freedom of speech.
- Rule of law belongs to the key priorities of the Dutch Foreign Policy. A link with the Netherlands in the project is strongly welcomed (e.g. a Dutch speaker; cooperation with a Dutch organization etc.). However, depending on the nature of the project, it is not essentially required.
- The project is long-term, strategic and has a clear follow-up, i.e. it is not a one-off event.
- The project proposal includes online or other alternative format in order to minimize potential effects of the COVID-19 related pandemic restrictions.
- The grants hould not be used for the coverage of institutional costs (such as in-house salaries, rent of premises, etc.) and catering.
