The Ministry of Social Affairs has launched the applications for the Integrated Services Provision To Prevent Early School Leaving to increase the capacity of local governments to offer support services to disadvantaged children and youth, to prevent their early school leaving, and promote inclusivity in education.
The application call supports the projects aimed at partnership and cooperation between different fields for the purpose of provision of integrated support services. Projects should offer integrated solutions across different fields, therefore the project team should include experts from several different fields (education, social work, health care, law enforcement, victim support, etc.). Co-operation projects between local governments (incl. county-based) will be favoured.
Funding Information
- The budget of the open call is 1 742 870 euros. Project grant to be awarded to a single project falls between 200 000 – 400 000 euros.
Activities
The activities carried out by the project(s) selected under the call for proposals are:
- development of co-operation models at the local level for the provision of local-level integrated services for the prevention of early school leaving and adequate intervention;
- training of professional staff involved in service provision, including the development of a training programme, study tours, preparing learning materials;
- piloting innovative local level services and programmes developed to enhance transitions of disadvantaged children and youth across school levels and from education to labour market.
Eligibility Criteria
- An eligible applicant is an Estonian local government or a local government association.
- Any public or private entity, commercial or non-commercial, as well as nongovernmental organisations established as a legal person either in Estonia, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein, in some other Beneficiary State (Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Latvia Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia) or in Russia, and who have signed a project partner statement.
- The applicant shall not have national tax and payment liabilities that have not been deferred as of the date of submission of the project application (source: electronic database of the Tax and Customs Board).
