Deadline: 30-Jun-23
The Fat Beehive Foundation is accepting applications to provide small grants for websites and digital products to other small UK registered charities.
Funding Priorities
- They can only support a limited amount of projects, based on the funding available for distribution in any given year.
- Their funding priorities for this year are:
Funding Information
- They provide highly specialised grants up to £2500 and can’t fund every charity that applies to them – much as they would like to.
Principles
- In awarding grants, the Trustees will apply the following principles:
- Applications from any geographical area within the UK are eligible for consideration.
- All applications from previous recipients of grants or from previously unsuccessful applicants will be considered by the Trustees on their own merits.
- Although the Trustees will have regard to the outcome of the previous application, any new application will in no way receive preferential or adverse consideration.
- The Charity will not normally support applications from large charities i.e. those with an annual income in excess of £1 million or charities dedicated to issues deemed by the Trustees to be already well funded within the UK.
- The Charity will willingly fund partnerships with other organisations to fund initiatives beyond the financial scope of a single organisation.
What they fund?
- They aim is to help these organisations carry out their work in a more efficient and effective way, resulting in positive social benefit.
- They only fund charities with an average income of less than £400,000 a year.
What they don’t fund?
- Their funding programmes are very specific. They aren’t a general IT funder and hence don’t fund general software or hardware procurement projects.
- They are keen for their funding to have a genuine impact, so they don’t fund organisations without the internal resources to make the project a success.
- Although they recognise the critical importance of funding core costs or staff time, they are unable to do this. They focus purely on hard-to-fund digital expenditure that other funders will often not cover.
- The bulk of our funding is provided by Fat Beehive Ltd, and to avoid any conflicts of interest the Fat Beehive Foundation will not provide grants to charities that already use or would like to use Fat Beehive Ltd’s services.
- They do not fund organisations set up to promote religion.
