The Ski for Life grants are now available to assist communities, groups, and individuals to undertake projects which align with its mission.
Aim: The aim of Ski for Life grants is to provide funding for projects/programs that have a direct impact on the targeted audience.
Vision: Removing the stigma around mental health and suicide.
Mission: To use conversation and community engagement to raise awareness of strategies that support good mental health, wellbeing, and suicide prevention.
Location: Project/programs must impact directly on communities throughout regional and rural Australia.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicant:
- Have an Australian Business Number (ABN) or a recognised relationship with a legal entity (i.e., organisation or company with an ABN), to ensure the project will be appropriately managed.
- Be able to complete the project within 12 months from the receipt of funding.
- Not have started the project, funding will not be provided retrospectively.
Ineligible
Grant funding is not available for:
- Identified wages and salaries (excluding presenters or guest speaker program packages)
- Identified travel/transport for non-presenters/guest speakers.
- Infrastructure project (i.e., construction, purchase or rent)
- Charity applications
- Private, corporate projects
- Metropolitan based projects
- Material and equipment resources
Assessment Criteria
- Identifies and supports target audience: Rural and remote communities throughout Australia that would benefit from awareness, promotion of mental health, wellbeing, and suicide prevention.
- Number of people to benefit: Anticipated number of people to be impacted by your project/program.
- Co funding ability: Level of additional funding contributing towards the project/program, from a separate source.
