The British Embassy Yerevan has announced its call for project bids under International Programme 2019-20.
Focus Areas
- Social entrepreneurship
- Outcome: Increase social entrepreneurship movement in Armenia and to support young/new entrants by strengthening the favourable legal framework and building their necessary knowledge, resources, and contacts. Project should propose activities to scale up social entrepreneurship that can generate harness the both financial and social returns and trigger community development.
- Environmental protection and plastic pollution
- Outcome: Support Government of Armenia with implementation of recently adopted policy decision to ban single-use plastics. To address the problem, introducing plastic control regulations and scaling up recycling capacities are not enough. The project should propose targeted activities aimed at promoting replacement of plastic bags with reusable bags by increasing awareness and triggering behavioural change.
Funding Information
The maximum funding for projects under this Programme is up to 11,700,000 Armenian Drams.
Evaluation criteria
Proposals will be evaluated against the following criteria:
- fit to programme objectives – the extent to which the proposal addresses the issues
- quality of project – how well-defined and relevant the outcome is and how outputs will deliver this change
- value for money – the value of the expected project outcomes, the level of funding requested and institutional contribution
- previous experience of the project team – evidence of the project team’s understanding the issue and of its regional activities, ability to manage and deliver a successful project, through work done to date in the area or in related fields
- bids that contribute to the Embassy’s public diplomacy efforts are especially welcome
