The U.S. Embassy in Cotonou, Benin, through this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), has announced an open competition for assistance awards. The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Embassy in Cotonou is currently inviting all eligible applicants to submit proposals for its “PAS Cotonou Small Grants Program for All Audiences”.
Goals
Project proposals submitted through this NOFO should address one of the following goals:
- Promote gender equity through supporting projects to protect girls’ and women’s rights, to increase access to support services for girls, women, and marginalized groups, and address gender-based violence.
- Increase women’s political participation and professional opportunities to improve service delivery to female citizens.
- Provide training and funding to support and promote entrepreneurship, especially among women and youth.
- Support and expand access to and use of information technology.
- Provide greater access to English learning opportunities for all Beninese regardless of geography, gender, or economic background.
Funding Information
- The award floor is set at $1,000.00.
- The award ceiling is set at $ 6,000.00.
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligibility is open to all individuals; all non-profit, non-governmental organizations whose work directly impacts Beninese populations.
- Organizations may sub-contract with other entities, but only one, non-profit, non-governmental entity can be the prime recipient of the award.
- For profit entities are not eligible to be the prime recipient of an award under this NOFO.
- When sub-contracting with other entities, the responsibilities of each entity must be clearly defined in the proposal.
