The UNDP GEF-Small Grants Programme (SGP) is seeking proposals for conducting National Level Legal Analysis to assess the impact of laws, policies and institutional frameworks on Community Conserved Territories and Areas (CCAs) in Georgia.
Objectives
In accordance with the methodology and guidance provided by Natural Justice and the SGP country team the successful applicant will:
- Conduct a detailed literature and desktop review, and analysis of laws policies and institutional frameworks on CCAs in Georgia.
- Organise and host multi-stakeholder meeting(s) to discuss the preliminary results of the legal analysis and receive inputs.
- Develop and finalise (through a series of consultative process and multi-stakeholder meetings) a holistic legal analysis report, with a dedicated section on recommendations and strategies to implement the finding to improve the recognition and support to CCAs.
- Produce quality policy briefs and information materials (on legal frameworks and policies on CCAs) for distribution to policy makers and parliamentarians.
Funding Information
The maximum grant amount for the legal analysis assignment will be limited to $15,000 with applicants required to provide a detailed budgetary estimate.
Eligibility Criteria
- An appropriate national and regional NGO, CSO or academic institution with a profound understanding on legal frameworks and polices on CCAs, and working experience with local communities in the country.
- National NGOs who are participating in GEF SGP OP6 grant application are also encouraged to apply.
