This public call is Supporting for Integration/Inclusion of Domestic, Traditional Products (Food Products, Handicrafts and Souvenirs) in Tourist Offer Along Via Dinarica Trails in BiH, it is o-financed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID BiH) and the Agency for Development Cooperation of the Republic of Italy (AICS).
The goal is to contribute to improving economic conditions and living standards along the Via Dinarica trail by integrating domestic products into tourism.
Priority Areas
- Priority Area 1: Strengthening the process of production and processing of products in order to integrate / include domestic, traditional products in the tourist offer along the Via Dinarica trail within the following local governments: Bosanski Petrovac, Center Sarajevo, Gacko, Jablanica, Kalinovik, Konjic, Mostar, Mrkonjic Grad , Posušje, Prijedor, Prozor-Rama, Ravno, Rudo, Sokolac, Stolac, Teslic, Tomislavgrad and Trebinje.
- Priority Area 2: Strengthening outlets in order to integrate / include domestic, traditional products in the tourist offer along the Via Dinarica trail within the following local government units: Konjic, Mostar, Prijedor, Sarajevo and Trebinje.
This public call for proposals aims to include domestic traditional products along the white, green and blue trails of Via Dinarica in the tourist offer through the inclusion of the following identified value chains:
- Honey, Medicinal herbs, rubber mushrooms and rubber vote Activities within this product group include the production of honey and other peeling products, the collection, cultivation and processing of medicinal herbs, as well as related natural and health products such as paradise, extracts, essential oils and natural cosmetics, and the collection and processing of rubber mushrooms and foxglove.
- Traditional handicrafts Activities within this product group include various types of products traditionally made of wood, stone, wool and metal and other natural materials suitable for sale to visitors in the form of souvenirs.
- Votes and votes processed Activities within this product group include naturally and traditionally produced diems and juices, as well as fresh and dried fruits.
Funding Information
The total available financial resources within this public call amount to 270,000.00 KM, and, based on the competitive process, the implementation of at least 36 best ranked project proposals will be supported, namely at least two project proposals in each local government partner unit (LGU).
Grants will be awarded within two priority areas:
- Priority area 1: The total available financial resources within this priority area amount to 232,500.00 KM.
- Priority area 2: The total available financial resources within this priority area amount to 37,500.00 KM.
Eligibility Criteria
- Priority area 1: The right to apply for this public invitation have natural and legal persons registered to perform one or more of the following activities: catering and tourism, production, processing and sale of food products, handicrafts and souvenirs.
- Applicants eligible to apply for this call are:
- Private enterprises and it
- Natural persons registered with the competent service of the local self-government or the Agency for Intermediaries, Information and Financial Services (APIF) such as tourism service providers, family farms (OPG), rural farms and the like;
- Cooperatives;
- Associations of agricultural producers, beekeepers, processors and purchasers of craftsmen.
- Applicants eligible to apply for this call are:
- Priority area 2: The right to apply for this public invitation have natural and legal persons registered for the activity of trade and sale of food products, handicrafts and souvenirs, and who already have established points of sale directed to the tourist market.
