The International Press Institute (IPI) is excited to announce the call for its Transition Accelerator, an EU-funded programme supporting news media developing innovative, market-specific solutions to challenges such as digital transformation, adapting to user needs and developing sustainable revenue streams.

WPHF announces Project Competition for Public Organizations in Ukraine

The Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Aid Fund (WPHF) has announced a call for projects in Ukraine to support civil society organizations to improve the socio-economic recovery and political participation of women and girls forcibly displaced by the war in Ukraine.
The overall purpose of this call for proposals is to provide grants to local civil society organizations in Ukraine focused on peacebuilding and recovery with local women and young women’s rights organizations. The call for proposals specifically contributes to WPHF’s overall goal of contributing to peaceful and gender equal societies.
Initiatives should aim to reach those women and girls experiencing multiple and intersecting forms of discrimination, such as those excluded due to geography, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, age, migratory status, HIV status, among others and which is in alignment with the 2030 Agenda and the principle of leaving no one behind.
This Call for Proposals is part of funding on Forced Displacement that is managed by the Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) and linked to Germany’s Action Network on Forced Displacement.

LGBT+ Futures: Bi Fund in the UK
This funding is ringfenced specifically for bi-led organisations that are doing work specifically for and with bi communities. To be eligible, the primary purpose of your organisation or group must be to support bi communities. Projects within broader LGBT+ organisations will not be eligible for this Fund.
German Marshall Fund of the United States: Relief, Resilience, Recovery Program in Ukraine
In response to the security challenges and humanitarian crisis caused by Russia’s war against Ukraine, the German Marshall Fund (GMF) of the United States and its Ukraine: Relief, Resilience, Recovery program is launching a new call for project proposals for civil society organizations and independent media from Ukraine.
Projects should be initiated by CSOs and independent media legally registered in Ukraine, which are based or relocated to and working from Ukraine and neighboring countries. The involvement of additional local partners is encouraged, and welcomed. The proposals cannot cover costs related to food, construction/renovations, or clothing. The cost of expenses indicated in the budget for compensation of salaries to members of the organization’s team should not exceed 40 percent of the total budget.

United Kingdom: Northumberland Village Homes Trust Fund
The Northumberland Village Homes Trust Fund supports organisations working to relieve poverty, distress, and sickness amongst children and young people under the age of 21, living in Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, County Durham and Tees Valley.
Organisations of any size are invited to apply for a grant of between £1000 and £5,000 for this type of work. Applications for project, capital, running, and core costs are welcome.

Applications for Two Ridings Community Foundation’s Small Grants Fund are now open that is aimed at helping small voluntary & community groups, small charities and other types of not for profit organisation with grants of between £200 and £2000 for projects which can help with either direct project costs or costs relating to the ongoing development needs of the organisation which will allow them to better meet the needs of their beneficiaries.
Priority will be given to organisations that support those that are most disadvantaged either because they are based in an area of disadvantage or because they work with a community disadvantaged for some other reason. Priority will also be given to work which addresses needs identified by local people.
Funding can be used for either project or core running and development costs. If you are applying for core running costs, please tell them how this will help to support your organisational development to meet the needs of your beneficiaries.
