Action for Nature is proud to honor the work of young people between the ages of 8 and 16 all over the globe who have done creative environmental projects with a cash prize, certificate of achievement, and public recognition.

Wellcome Trust is accepting nominations for Mental Health Award to support the validation of biological, psychological, social or digital markers to enable stratification in anxiety and/or depression as early as possible.

Wellcome aims to drive a transformative change in the ability to intervene as early as possible in the course of anxiety and depression, broadly defined, in ways prioritised by the people who experience them.

This work involves advancing scientific understanding of how brain, body and environment interact in the course and resolution of these conditions; finding new and improved ways to predict, identify, and stratify groups of people so that they can provide more timely and personalised interventions; and finding new and improved ways of intervening.

Homo Homini has become one of the most prestigeous awards of its kind. Every year, People in Need confers the Homo Homini award to individuals who have greatly contributed to the promotion of human rights and democracy and nonviolent solutions to political conflicts.

People in Need is a non-governmental, non-profit organization founded on the ideals of humanism, freedom, equality and solidarity. They consider human dignity and freedom to be fundamental values. They believe that people anywhere in the world should have the right to make decisions about their lives and to share the rights expressed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

People in Need organization was established in 1992 by a group of Czech war correspondents who were no longer satisfied with merely relaying information about ongoing conflicts and began sending out aid. It gradually became established as a professional humanitarian organization striving to provide aid in troubled regions and support adherence to human rights around the world.

The Women’s World Summit Foundation (WWSF) has launched the “Prize for Women’s Creativity in Rural Life” to honor women and women’s groups around the world exhibiting exceptional creativity, courage and commitment for the improvement of the quality of life in rural communities.

The Prize aims to draw international attention to laureates’ contributions to sustainable development, household food security and peace, thus generating recognition and support for their projects. While rural women are vital in providing examples of sound practice in their communities, they still do not have full access to tools needed for development, such as education, credit, land rights and participation in decision making. 2023 RISK Award “Climate Resilience and Early Warning” endowed with € 100,000

Nominations are now open for the 2023 RISK Award that is looking for project proposals in the field of climate resilience and early warning.

In this sense, the 2023 RISK Award reflects a combined approach from three major UN frameworks, namely the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (2015-2030), the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change 2015. They especially invite non-profit organisations, NGOs, but also academic institutions and local communities to apply with their non-profit projects on this topic.

The risks posed by population development, environmental and climate change are increasing. Complex technical systems and infrastructure are additional risk factors. The RISK Award partners recognise the need to address this development. The RISK Award has been set up to help improve risk reduction and disaster management by providing financial support to projects dedicated to these issues.

The Front Line Defenders is currently accepting nominations for the 2023 Front Line Defenders Award for Human Rights Defenders at Risk.

The purpose of the Award is to give visibility to HRDs who are not normally acknowledged or recognised at the international level. At the same time, the Award should not bring additional risk for which the HRD is not prepared.

The annual Front Line Defenders Award was established in 2005 to honour the work of HRDs who are courageously making outstanding contributions to the promotion and protection of the human rights of others, at great personal risk to themselves.
