[July 2023]
World Day against Trafficking in Persons is held on July 30th each year, and is an annual event. Human trafficking is the trade of humans for the purpose of sexual slavery, forced labor, or commercial sexual exploitation. Human trafficking can occur within a country or trans-nationally. Unlike people smuggling, which is distinguished by the consent of the person being smuggled, it is not the same.
This year’s theme “Reach every victim of trafficking, leave no one behind” will specifically focus on ending the exploitation of trafficking victims. Check out the new grant opportunities and start applying.
