Azim Premji Foundation Fellowship 2021: Are you interested in building a Career in the Social Sector?
The Azim Premji Foundation Fellowship is an opportunity for working professionals from diverse fields, who are looking for meaningful ways to contribute to social change.
The Fellowship journey, as experienced by many, is a rich amalgamation of learning about the public education system in our country, contributing on the ground as well as building a career
in the social sector.
During the programme, Fellows will get an immersive experience of the real India, with an in-depth learning about education, and an opportunity to contribute to a just, equitable, humane and sustainable society.
Compensation
The Fellows will receive a monthly salary of Rs.35,000/- Taxes and statutory deductions will apply. Details of other benefits are available in the FAQs (mentioned below).
Eligibility Criteria
- 4 to 10 years of work experience
- A degree in any discipline
- Proficiency in English and any one of the local languages (Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu)
- Applicants need to be below 35 years of age
- Willing to travel within the district and ready to be posted in the districts the foundation work in

Inlaks Fine Art Awards 2021: Need financial assistance to work Independently anywhere in India?
The Inlaks India Foundation invites applications for the selection of Inlaks Fine Art Awards 2021.
The award is intended to help young artists in their formative years to develop their creative talent. It provides financial assistance to enable them to work independently anywhere in India.
Funding Information
- The Award is worth Rs.3, 00,000/- (Three lakhs only) for a period of one year.
- The awardee will have to attend an art residency programme within India for a period of 4 weeks during the course of the year.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant for this award should be a young emerging artist under the age of 30 (by 31st December in the year of application).
- The applicant may be a recent graduate/post-graduate or a final year student from a leading Indian institute for visual arts in India. No student of a first year master’s programme will be considered.
- The recipient should not be holding a similar/ government scholarship or award during the same tenure.
- If the candidate has applied for the award earlier, he/she must submit a new body of work if they reapply.
- In the case of an applicant not having a formal degree in the visual arts, it is desirable that he/she would have participated in organized art exhibitions.
- The applicant for this award must be an Indian citizen, currently resident in India.

Research Funding Programme: Inviting High-quality Research Proposals from Individuals (INR 5 – 20 Lakhs)
As part of Azim Premji University’s efforts to strengthen and elevate the state of understanding of societal processes and outcomes, they are launching the fifth round of their Research Funding Programme. This programme is designed to promote inquiry into areas of particular interest to Azim Premji Foundation and to explore possible responses for some of them.
The Research Funding Programme is designed to strengthen and supplement their existing efforts in these areas. While they are open to any broad consideration within an area, the research should be empirically grounded, and be able to inform practice and policy.
They invite high-quality research proposals that examine the significant questions of public concern in the following areas:
- Education and Allied Areas
- Labour, Livelihoods and Employment
- Urban Governance and Sustainability
- Local Democracy
- Climate Change Action
Who can apply
Applications are invited from individuals or teams affiliated with centres of vital research within academic institutions, non-profit organizations, for-profit organizations, as well as the Government, in principle. They encourage scholars and researchers in the fields of education, development practice, public policy, economics, political science, sociology, anthropology, history, creative arts, media and the sciences to submit proposals.
This call for proposals is for researchers external to Azim Premji Foundation. Employees of Azim Premji Foundation are not eligible to apply.

Teach For India Fellowship: Do you Want to make a Real Difference?
The Teach For India Fellowship is an opportunity for India’s brightest and most promising youth, from the nation’s best universities and workplaces, to serve as full-time teachers to children from low-income communities in under-resourced schools.
The Teach For India Alumni movement is a growing community who work towards educational equity at all levels of the education system. Alumni start their own organizations or hold key positions of leadership, both within and beyond the education sector, enabling them to impact the lives of millions of children collectively.
Teach For India’s model starts with a selective recruitment and selection process, focuses on ongoing teacher training and leadership development, measures the impact of students and the leadership growth of Fellows and culminates in the impact Alumni have on the education system.
Benefits
- Teach For India Fellows will be paid a salary of Rs. 20,412 per month.
- If required to relocate from their home city, Fellows will be given a housing allowance ranging from Rs.5,300 to 10,000, depending on the city in which they will stay.
- In addition, Fellows will receive an allowance for school supplies.
Eligibility Criteria
- In order to be eligible to apply to the Fellowship program, the applicant must be an Indian Citizen or an Overseas Citizen of India, must have graduated with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree by June/July 2021, and this must be applicants’ first application to the 2021 cohort of the Teach For India Fellowship.
- The Fellows are critical thinkers and problem solvers. They have grit, courage and set high expectations for themselves and for others. They demonstrate interpersonal skills through their interactions with various stakeholders.
- The Fellows are going to be leaders of the movement towards educational equity. Aside from passion and commitment to the vision of educational equity, the fellowship looks for leadership potential that can develop through the two year Fellowship.
- The fellowship is looking for diversity in their cohort, and their Fellows come from across the country, with varied levels of professional experience – college students, working youth, experienced professionals, and entrepreneurs.

2020 Inlaks Research Travel Grants Program: Financial Support for up to 3 months
The Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation invites applications for the selection of Inlaks Research Travel Grants in 2020.
The Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation has been supporting innovative work in research and scholarship for more than four decades. The Inlaks Research Travel Grant assists registered PhD. students at Indian universities to undertake short-term visits to institutions abroad to collect material, use facilities and consult experts.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must:
- Be a registered PhD candidate at an Indian university for at least two years but not more than four years at the time of the application.
- Have a first class degree at the Bachelor’s (Honours) and Master’s level.
- Must be under 35 years of age as on 31 December in the year of application.
- Be an Indian citizen, currently resident in India.
- The award is given only in Humanities and Social Sciences related subjects

- Entrepreneurs who have founded or are leading a for-profit or nonprofit organization that provides critical goods and services to the underserved
- Intrapreneurs who are creating innovative solutions to tackle poverty or injustice from within existing institutions by shifting institutional culture and building new collaborations.
- Organizational builders who are supporting the growth of poverty or injustice-focused institution from within, but not as the founder or CEO
- They are looking for an entrepreneurial attitude, mindset, and approach – people who don’t accept the status quo.
- There are no specific academic prerequisites for Acumen India Fellowship.
- There is neither a minimum age requirement nor a maximum age cut off.
