“Resilient, Inclusive and Sustainable Environments” Grants Challenge

The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has launched the Resilient, Inclusive and Sustainable Environments (RISE) Grants Challenge, a first-of-its-kind grant fund that supports activities designed to address gender-based violence and environmental linkages in environmental and climate-related programmes and generate evidence on promising interventions.
Funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and managed by IUCN under their Advancing Gender in the Environment (AGENT) partnership, the RISE grants challenge is a direct response to a landmark study on gender-based violence and environment linkages by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), which USAID’s Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment Hub (GenDev) commissioned through the AGENT partnership.
USAID Innovation Grant for Socio-Economic Development in Education, Environment, Poverty and Others: Anyone from anywhere can apply!

Through a year-round grant competition, Development Innovation Ventures (DIV) sources proposals for innovations that address international development challenges and improve the lives of people living in poverty in developing countries around the world. DIV provides tiered funding to pilot, test, and transition to scale (i.e., grow to reach the highest number of beneficiaries possible) those innovations that demonstrate evidence of impact, cost-effectiveness, and the potential to scale.
DIV funds four types of grants. Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3 grants follow a tiered approach that aligns the funding amount to the strength of the evidence of impact, cost-effectiveness, and scalability of the proposed innovation. Evidence Generation grants are reserved for rigorous evaluations of already scaled or scaling development solutions that lack sufficient rigorous evidence of impact and cost-effectiveness.

The purpose of the Kuteteza Health project is to expand access to high quality biomedical interventions that will avert new HIV infections among young boys and men and their respective partners, and support HIV risk reduction activities at the community level. USAID intends to support the Malawi Ministry of Health and the private health sector in the delivery of high quality safe medical male circumcisions.
The Kuteteza project will provide service delivery and technical support for site-level and abovesite interventions including technical leadership, service delivery, in-service training, quality management, policy and guidelines revision, domestic resource mobilization, communications, and social mobilization, monitoring and evaluation for accelerated scale up of voluntary medical male circumcision delivered in combination with other HIV prevention interventions.
USAID/Malawi invites Proposals for Ana ndi Achinyamata Patsogolo Project

This ANAPA Project will contribute to the achievement of the 95-95-95 goals and reaching and sustaining epidemic control in Malawi by helping to reduce lifetime risk of HIV acquisition and achieve durable viral suppression among children, adolescents, and their families. ANAPA’s goal is to improve the health, well-being, and protection of children and adolescents (and their families) living with, affected by, and vulnerable to HIV through high-impact service delivery and district-level social service system strengthening to sustain an effective response for children, adolescents, and their families through locally led solutions.
The project aims to standardize a robust model of care that can be replicated and scaled up by GOM. In addition, cornerstones of the Activity will be advancing human rights and equity for children and AGYW, youth engagement and participation, as well as maximizing community engagement to strengthen program responsiveness to clients’ priorities and improve service quality, acceptability, and impact.

Applications Open for Empowering Women to Adapt to Climate Change in Northern Kenya

USAID/Kenya & East Africa is making a special call for the submission of concepts focused on empowering women in northern Kenya to improve their resilience and adaptive capacity to climate change and its impacts.
Through this announcement, USAID seeks to develop new and innovative public-private alliances with the private sector – including businesses, investors, and corporate foundations – as well as philanthropic foundations, NGOs, and other stakeholders focused on advancing entrepreneurship with a special focus on women in Northern Kenya. USAID/South Sudan, with resources from the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), is seeking assistance for a 5-year activity to support children, adolescents, and their families in the HIV epidemic to improve HIV and health outcomes and reduce new HIV infections among adolescent girls and young women (AGYW).
With the current funding, the activity will be based in Juba County. The activity is expected to result in mitigation of the impact of HIV, reduction in new HIV infections, and improved HIV clinical outcomes for those on HIV treatment among the target sub-populations.

USAID/Colombia Special Call | Energy for Peace (E4P): Energy Transition for PDETs
