(February 2021)
To lead the fight against social injustices, World day of Social Justice is observed every year on February 20th. On this day individuals, communities, and nations commemorate and reflect on efforts and good work done for the marginalized communities with the aim to better the lives of all.
The theme for this year “A Call for Social Justice in the Digital Economy” will support efforts by the international community to search for solutions to achieve sustainable development, poverty eradication, the promotion of full employment and decent work, universal social protection, gender equality and access to social well-being and justice for all.
Since digital labour platforms operate across multiple jurisdictions subsequently a need for international policy dialogue and coordination will be highlighted on this day. Also, the regulatory certainty and applicability of universal labour standards will be ensured.
Fighting against social injustice continues to be integral to global organisations. Therefore, we have compiled some open opportunities from international donor agencies to assist NGOs working for the promotion of social justice worldwide.
