NEF Commemorative Grant Fund for Capacity Building of Young Scientists

The Nagao Natural Environment Foundation (NEF) has launched the NEF Commemorative Grant Fund for Capacity Building of Young Scientists (CGF) Programme, for a 10-year period up to 2025, aiming at capacity building of young scientists in developing countries of the Asia-Pacific region; both of the CGF Programme and the ongoing Research Grant Programme (under the NEF Research Grant Scheme) will be simultaneously progressed.
UNESCO-Japan Prize on Education for Sustainable Development

Nominations are now open for the UNESCO-Japan Prize on Education for sustainable development, funded by the Government of Japan, consists of three annual awards of USD 50,000 for each recipient.
The purpose of the UNESCO-Japan Prize on Education for Sustainable Development is to reward the outstanding efforts of institutions, organizations or other entities engaged in activities on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). This is done within the framework “Education for Sustainable Development: Towards achieving the SDGs (ESD for 2030)”, [adopted by] the 40th session of the UNESCO General Conference, and acknowledged by the UN General Assembly in 2019 as global framework for ESD (2020-2030), in follow-up to the UNESCO Global Action Programme on ESD (2015-2019).
2023 Japan International Award for Young Agricultural Researchers

The Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS) is seeking nominations for the 2023 Japan International Award for Young Agricultural Researchers (Japan Award).
This annual award is organized by the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Research Council (AFFRC), the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), Japan, and supported by Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS).

The African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) is inviting applications for the 3rd Cohort of Home Grown Solutions (HGS) Accelerator for Pandemic Resilience Initiative to accelerate the growth of African healthcare companies to strengthen the continent’s pandemic resilience.
This is achieved through offering hands-on and tailored support to growth- and mature stage healthcare businesses. The African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) founded the Accelerator initiative in partnership with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the official development assistance agency of the Government of Japan.
Call for Proposals: Small Grants in Indonesia

The Wallacea Partnership Small Grants Program is accepting applications from civil society organizations (CSOs) to conserve biodiversity in ecosystems with high biodiversity but which are highly vulnerable to damage and extinction.
This program also supports poverty alleviation and economic development of people whose lives depend on these important ecosystems. The Wallacea Partnership Program is supported by the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) which is a joint initiative of l’Agence Française de Développement, Conservation International, the European Union, the Global Environment Facility, the Government of Japan and the World Bank, and has entered its second period (Wallacea II Partnership Program).

The Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation (DAJF) Awards are now open for collaborative projects that enable British and Japanese partners to work together in the context of an institutional relationship.
Daiwa Foundation Awards can cover projects in academic, professional, arts, cultural, scientific and educational fields. Awards seek to encourage the development and sustainability of UK-Japan partnerships between such organisations as museums and art galleries, theatres and performing arts groups, schools and universities, and grassroots and professional bodies. Any project which involves a significant level of collaboration between British and Japanese partners can be considered. New initiatives are especially encouraged.
